Whitby Wood 2024 summer internship programme

Whitby Wood are looking for engineering students to take part in their 2024 summer internship programme. Opportunities are available for Civil, Structural and Geotechnical placements in the London, Brighton, and Bristol offices (UK). The programme will involve working on different design elements from live projects alongside a group scheme design project, allowing students to apply their engineering knowledge and creativity in practice.
What we are looking for
– Enthusiasm for engineering, architecture, and the built environment
– Interest in the multi-stage process of design and construction, from concept to completion
– An ability to sketch and communicate with hand drawings
– Digital competency and an appreciation of the importance of digital technology in engineering
– Awareness of the importance of the Climate Emergency for the construction industry and an interest in sustainable engineering practices
– A team player that can work in group projects
There will be two placement cohorts lasting six weeks – the first from 10th June to 19th July and the second from 22nd July to 30thAugust.
